The PID Act prescribes a framework for the disclosure and investigation of wrongdoing and maladministration in the Australian public sector (APS). IPEA encourages and supports the reporting of wrongdoings in the APS so that they can be investigated and addressed. It is important that allegations of disclosable conduct are brought to the attention of IPEA then investigated in a fair and timely manner. IPEA promotes integrity and accountability in the APS by encouraging disclosure of suspected wrongdoing in accordance with these procedures. IPEA aims to protect who make disclosures in accordance with the PID Act.
